"It's been an honor to receive this award and work alongside such an exceptional group of people, including my bosses and fellow student workers," said Schmitz. "I am so grateful for the learning experiences and the fun memories that have been made. Concordia truly is an amazing place and the Athletic Communications department perfectly reflects this."

The award is voted on by the CUW Athletic Communications staff and students.

To qualify for the award, a student must have high character and a quality attitude, work well with others on the staff, coaching staff, student-athletes and administration, a willingness to go above and beyond and have a high quality of work.

"Megan has been a true asset to our staff," said Director of Athletic Communications Steven Schauer. "She has been helping us in more ways than we know. She goes above and beyond every single time to help us promote our teams, student-athletes and coaches in the best possible way. Megan is more than deserving of being our DACSOTY winner this year. Thank you, Megan, for everything you have done this year."
