Athletic Department donates to help American Red Cross hurricane victims
MEQUON, Wis. -- Hurrican Harvey left a path of destruction through Texas and Louisiana a week ago and the Concordia Wisconsin Athletic Department raised $320 during the Labor Day weekend games to help those in the cleanup effort.
"We are saddened by the events the storm caused those in the south last week," Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill said. "We are always looking for ways to help those in our community. Our student-athletes and teams do a great service in giving back in a variety of ways."
Every year Falcon student-athletes and teams raise thousands of dollars for charity and donate hundreds of hours of service to the community, which coincides with the University's mission of serving Christ in Mind, Body and Spirit.
