MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin broke ground on Wednesday for a new indoor training facility, the Catalyst Sports Training Center.
The event took place south of Fitting Field and west of Kapco Park, with hundreds in attendance.
“I am very excited to be breaking ground on the Catalyst Sports Training Center,” Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Barnhill stated. “This 6,000 sq. ft. multipurpose facility will include a turf training surface, four batting/pitching tunnels, a covered patio for programming and protective netting to support activities of all types."
This project would not have been possible without the generous support of friends, alumni and partners, to whom we are so very grateful," Barnhill added. "This facility will serve our students in intramural and educational programming, sports team training, strength and conditioning and serve as a community resource through camp and clinic programming and limited rental space."
