Scholar Athlete Award winners announced

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Department of Athletics announces its Scholar Athlete Award winners, based heavily on grade point average, community service and sportsmanship.

CUW created the award for the 2013-14 athletic year for the first time ever, to recognize those student-athletes that signify what it means to represent the University in mind, body and spirit. To qualify student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, participated on an athletic team, be involved in the community and display good character and sportsmanship.

Below is the list of student-athletes (one per sport):
Men's Basketball – Noah Kegley (senior, Grafton, Wis.)
Women's Basketball – Camille Parsons (senior, Urbana, Ill.)
Men's Cross Country – Christopher Biesboer (junior, Elmhurst, Ill.)
Women's Cross Country – Sarah Volkert (junior, Rockford, Ill.)
Football – Joe Paul (senior, West Bend, Wis.)
Women's Golf – Nina Puch (sophomore, Des Plaines, Ill.)
Men's Hockey – Trammell Lynes (sophomore, Edmonton, Alberta)
Women's Hockey – Elizabeth Otto (junior, Stillwater, Minn.)
Men's Lacrosse – Christopher Grenz (junior, Centennial, Colo.)
