NCATA cancels remainder of the 2020 season

NCATA cancels remainder of the 2020 season

The following is an announcement made by the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association on Thursday night:

In accordance with the cancellation of NCAA winter and spring championships, the 2020 NCATA National Championships has been canceled.

From the NCAA - "This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to the spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities."

In light of the cancelation of the championship and the announced cancelation of event sanctions of all USA Gymnastics events through March 30, the NCATA is canceling all remaining meets for the 2020 regular season.

We would like to thank the 2020 seniors on our member teams, and look forward to resuming competition in the 2021 season.

Concordia Wisconsin’s response to COVID-19

We continue to monitor developments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak with your health and safety at the forefront of our decision-making. While there are no cases of COVID-19 at Concordia Wisconsin and we believe the risk to our students, faculty, and staff remains low, it is our responsibility to you and our greater community to be proactive in our efforts to prevent the spread of this illness. At the same time, we are committed to continuing the academic excellence and vital work of the university.

Concordia Wisconsin will suspend face-to-face instruction effective Monday, March 16. All courses (including labs) will be delivered online.

Alternate delivery of classes will begin on March 16 (or March 23 for those on spring break next week) and continue at least through Monday, April 13. A decision on when and whether in-person instruction will resume will be shared in early April.
