Falcons Roll into Playoffs
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team heads into the heart of playoffs in the upcoming weeks with some key matchups in the week ahead.
On Monday, the Falcon Valorant team takes on Central Methodist in the NECC Quarterfinals. In the regular season, the Falcons bested the Eagles by a 2-1 victory. The Valorant team has not played a match in two weeks due to some scheduling issues, so the Falcons need to make sure they keep the rust off. They need to take care of business in this one to clinch a spot in Nationals.
The Rainbow 6 Siege team is set to compete in the NECC semifinals against Western Colorado. A win over this Western Colorado team would set up a rematch of last year's semifinal thriller against Murray State.
The Falcons have already clinched their spot at Nationals, but they have another goal in mind: a championship.
A perfect season, a conference championship, a spot at nationals; all of those are on the line here as CUW Overwatch takes on bitter rival Carthage in the semifinals. CUW got the best of Carthage in the regular season with an 0-3 sweep, but the Falcons still need to play with the same fire that got them to this point.
