Falcons Esports Sweeps Second Half of Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team started their Spring seasons in two titles at the back half of the week in Rainbow 6 Siege and Overwatch.
The Falcon R6 squad started with a 7-1 victory in game one against Baker. The Falcons ended up with a 2-0 win in the best of three-game matchup after Baker forfeited halfway through the second game. In their matchup with Marquette in the Wisconsin R6 League, the Falcons took the victory with a 7-3 victory on the clubhouse map pushing them to 1-0 on the season.
The Falcon Overwatch program kicked off the Spring portion of their season with a 3-0 sweep of Grand view in NECC conference play. Overwatch Coach Andrew Wahl had this to say after the victory, "The theme of this season is being locked in every single round. No 2-1 wins, just sweeps. This first match sets the tone."
The Falcons look to carry this solid tone and momentum into their matches next week.
