Falcons Snap Back with Solid Streak
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team put together a solid streak on Wednesday and Thursday with two Rainbow 6 Siege wins and an Overwatch victory.
The Rainbow 6 Siege team continued their undefeated, NECC season with a 2-1 win over Fanshawe. The Falcons won the Club House and Oregon maps on the bookends of the matchup but dropped the Coastline map 3-7 in the middle.
Junior Austin Lichtenstein (Johnsburg, Ill.) led the Falcons with 31 eliminations in the three-game matchup.
In their Wisconsin R6 League matchup with Marian, sophomore Sean Sullivan (West Bend, Wis.) led with 16 eliminations. The Falcons improved to 2-0 on the Wisconsin R6 season with the 7-5 victory over Marian.
The Falcons maintained another perfect season with an Overwatch victory over the Redbird Red.
A 3-0 matchup sweep with wins at Illos, Eichenwalde, and Havana gave the Falcons the 2-0 season record.
The Falcons look to use this momentum heading into Friday as well as the beginning of next week in titles they struggled in at the beginning of this week.
