MEQUON, Wis. - The regular seasons for each of CUW esports' 7 Fall titles are officially done, which means it is win or go home time. With all the leagues and teams going on, it can be tough to track how every team is doing, so let's take a quick look at how each team is looking going into playoffs.

  • Rocket League: 8-0, #1 Seed in NECC
    • With the perfect season still intact, the Falcons are a heavy favorite to win the conference title. They have already faced every possible postseason opponent, including the Concordia Nebraska rival waiting for them in Round 1. They have dominated this season and have shown no sign of slowing down
  • Smash Bros: 8-1 #3 Seed in NECC & 5-4 #5 Seeds in META
    • There are 4 Smash 3v3 teams remaining in the META playoffs and 2 of them both call CUW home. The dream of a CUW vs CUW finals is still alive as the two blue squads are on opposite sides of the bracket, but each team will have to pull the upset as they enter the matchup as underdogs. This would be the first META title in school history. Trio one will take on Texas-San Antonio in their Semifinal matchup while Trio two will battle Colorado.
  • Overwatch: 6-2, #3 Seed in NECC
    • After losing in overtime of the semifinal matchup last season, Falcons Overwatch has taken that personally and has been dominant this season. They wheeled off 6 straight wins before dropping the regular-season finale to an undefeated Marian squad. CUW comes in favored to meet Marian in the title match as they have already defeated the second seed. Coach Wahl leads the fired-up squad against Carroll to start the run.
  • Valorant: 5-3, #4 Seed in NECC
    • CUW Valorant has exceeded all expectations in their first competitive season. This team never competed together and did not even know each other before this semester. Now they have a winning record and a top-four seed. The matchup against Alabama Huntsville to start the playoffs is a comfortable one as CUW already defeated them this season, but CUW will then have to play spoiler to make a deep run. Coach Slater has the team ready to face adversity.
  • League of Legends: 6-2, #2 Seed in NECC
    • Another team debuting this semester, CUW League of Legends, has been one of the hottest teams in the NECC. The team put together a five-game winning streak to catapult in the standings before dropping the regular-season finale. There has been turnover in the starting lineup, but everything is ironed out and solidified for the playoff push. Butler University awaits the team in the Quarterfinals.
  • Rainbow 6 Siege: 4-3, #5 Seed in NECC
    • Despite hitting a rough patch mid-season, no team is coming into the playoffs more excited than the CUW Rainbow 6 squad. After destroying the undefeated, first seed to end the regular season, CUW is hitting its stride at the right time. After making it to the semifinals last season, Rainbow 6 is looking to build on that and get to the finals this year. Baker University awaits the team in round one.
  • Fortnite: 2 Solos in Final 100, 1 Trio in Final 33 in Nation
    • CUW is out to win a true National Championship in two different ways in Fortnite. CUW has two players who have qualified for the solo finals and can win a National Title. Additionally, their top trio is one of the 33 trios in the nation remaining for their shot at a national title. After a disappointing 16th overall finish in the last event, CUW is looking for gold this time.
