Futures on the Line This Week for Esports
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team is firing on all cylinders with a full slate of titles now in the heat of their regular seasons.
This week, the lineup of preview matches starts with a Rainbow 6 Siege dual with UW-Platteville. In this high-powered matchup, CUW stands as one of only two teams that remain undefeated teams in the league. Platteville is a one-loss team that sits right behind the Falcons in the standings and can leapfrog CUW win a win on Thursday night. The Falcons are expecting a fight, but there isn't much they can't handle.
The Falcon Overwatch squad has been on fire this season. Three matchups, three wins, and 3-0 battles across the board give the Falcons momentum heading into a match with in-state rivals Carthage. The Firebirds look to crack the CUW momentum, but the Falcons look to show why they deserve to be at the top in their debut season.
The CUW League of Legends team is coming off of a 1-1 schedule so far with a convincing, week-one win and a close battle in week two. This week three matchup with Valparaiso means a pivotal duel in the future of the squad. With new lineups rolling every week, the Falcons look to cement their group and catapult into their main goal for the season: a title.
