Esports weekly recap (March 27-April 17)

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Esports team hasn't been affected by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, as they have been able to still compete virtually at home.

The Falcons Rocket League teams have been performing well over the past four weeks, compiling a 3-2 record. They had previously earned just one Rocket League victory in 13 matches. Concordia Wisconsin earned a 3-2 win over Florida Southern, 3-1 victory over Davenport and a 3-0 decision in its favor against Kansas. They also competed against Boise State (L, 1-3) and Taylor (L, 2-3).

The Brawlhalla team competed twice and placed sixth at the March Brawl Open League and ninth at the Fifth Shades of Brawhlhalla event.

The Fortnite duos were also busy competing in the weekly Play vs. Spring League, placing Top-40, Top-15, Top-30 and Top-20. They also participated in a NACE Solos Open event and were Top-25.

The Call of Duty team tied Oregon 5-5.

Concordia Wisconsin also started a CUW Championship Series to keep its Fortnite duos active competitively and finished first and second on April 16.
