Overwatch Stays Perfect; All NECC Teams Qualify for Playoffs
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team began to wrap up their regular seasons in a variety of titles.
In their final matchup of the regular season, the Rainbow 6 Siege team took on Windsor. The Falcons were defeated in a two-game sweep with scores of 2-7 and 6-8. The Falcons enter the playoffs with a 4-3 record as the third seed. The Blue and White went into the matchup with a new lineup, but head coach Lewis Smith is confident that this new team will be able to show off in the playoffs.
The Overwatch squad took on their rivals in Concordia Nebraska. The flock snagged their ninth win of the regular season and locked up the first seed with a perfect season. The Falcons were 27-2 all season in maps with their only map losses coming from Carroll who attained the second seed.
The Falcon Smash Bros team took on Sacred Heart in a META matchup. The Falcons swept Sacred Heart with scores of 3-0 and 1-0. This moved the Falcons to 4-1 in their Spring season with a pair of victories against Sacred Heart.
The Falcons look to continue their seasons deep into the playoffs.
