Esports Week Preview
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team is fresh off of a Christmas break and looking forward to competing in the new semester.
They have a couple of big events coming up in their first week of competition.
Fresh off of a big win against Purdue, the Falcons Call of Duty team looks to take on Illinois State on Jan. 24th. This will be their third competition of the season after splitting a pair of competitions on Jan. 17th with Illinois and Purdue.
The Call of Duty Academy squad takes on a 2-0, in-state rival, Wisconsin-La Crosse. The Falcons go into the matchup 1-1 after a split on Jan. 18th with Illinois and Dakota State. The Falcons dropped their first matchup with Illinois 1-3 but bounced back against Dakota State with a 3-0 final.
Many of the NECC teams begin their preseason matchups with week. These titles include Valorant, League of Legends, Rainbow 6 Siege, Overwatch, and Rocket League fresh off of their first NECC title.
