Esports' Pieroni Signs Pro Deal

MEQUON, Wis. - The 2022 Spring season for the Concordia University Wisconsin Esports team has started with some thrilling news as one of our most talented players, Steven Pieroni has signed with FLu Esports, the largest professional organization in Wisconsin. Steven has greatly contributed to our Fortnite team and will now be able to add his talent to the FLu team, extending past his college career.

This is a groundbreaking signing as FLu Esports, a professional organization, is choosing to sign a collegiate player who is still competing here at CUW. Usually, full-time college students are not signed to pro-orgs as the collegiate Esports scene has only been recently developed and recognized. Rather, the process is based on content creation and ranked competitive talent. This is one of the main reasons why the signing is important, especially for our growing program. It also serves as a great opportunity for our whole team to consider in the future.

Pieroni is thrilled about the new partnership and is eager to begin playing for FLu Esports. He stated, "Growing with an up and coming organization that is blowing up like CUW Esports is always something to be excited for. I've known about FLu for quite a while and finally having the chance to be a part of their roster is unreal. Them being based in Wisconsin and me going to school here makes our partnership that much better."
