MEQUON, Wis. – As CUW esports nears playoffs, the teams look to remain high in the standings.  For a couple of teams, this means remaining unbeaten on the season.

In an upset, the Falcons' Rocket League team dropped their first matchup in the META League on Monday.  In a 1-3 defeat, Colorado upset the top team in the league bringing their season record to 6-1.  The 1-3 loss saw scores of 1-3, 5-2, 2-3, and 1-3 in the four-game matchup.  The Rocket League team wouldn't let that one go unavenged.  In their NECC League, the squad took their frustrations out on an unsuspecting Southern Mississippi taking yet another sweep to remain a perfect 6-0 in the NECC.  "We took our frustration from Monday out on these guys," Said senior Austin Esterly (Lombard, Ill.).  "Not going to lose both of our undefeated seasons."  This matchup saw game scores of 9-0, 5-2, and 6-1 showing off the sheer offensive power of the Falcons.

On Tuesday, the Valorant Team took on Finlandia University.  After winning the first game 13-5, the Falcons dropped the second in extra points with a final score of 13-15 and the third 10-13.  Sophomore Adam Hedman (Fond du Lac, Wis.) led the Falcon effort in this close matchup with 74 Falcon eliminations.  "Map 1 was probably the best we have ever played as a team," said Coach Smith.  "It was great to see, but we need to be able to carry that through every map."

Another Falcon team to remain undefeated was the Smash team.  The squad took their matchup against Moravian College with a final score of 2-1 improving to 7-0 on the season.  All three Falcons put up some solid numbers.  Junior De'Shawn Ford (Gardena, Calif.) posted eight eliminations while freshman Kellen Gonzales (Waukesha, Wis.) and sophomore Angel Uriostegui (Round Lake, Ill.) both put up nine.
