Baseball Sweeps NACC North Weekly Accolades
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athletes of the Week for baseball on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons swept the NACC North Division weekly honors after advancing to the NACC Tournament Finals with a 3-0 record on the weekend. Bradlee Sumner was named the NACC North Division Pitcher of the Week and Sam Beers earned the NACC North Division Position Player of the Week title.
A senior from Ocala, Florida, Bradlee Sumner is claiming the honor for the second time this season. Against Marian, he threw a complete game shutout over the Sabres and only allowed five hits, while also striking out four batters.
A junior from Janesville, Wisconsin, Sam Beers is securing his the title for the third time this season. Beers finished the weekend with eight hits and three RBI. He also scored two runs and stole a base.
The Falcons will fight for the NACC Tournament title this weekend against the 10th-ranked Spartans of Aurora.
