NACC adjusts baseball schedule

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced changes to the 2021 baseball schedule on Monday evening.

The NACC will be divided between two divisions in 2021, with the Wisconsin schools in the North Division and the Illinois teams in the South Division.

The schedule will consist of 32 games, with 20 divisional games and 12 games out of the division.

Only games against teams in the North Division will count in the conference standings for CUW.

A team must play at least 10 games in the division for primary determination in tournament seeding.

The NACC schedule consists of two games played per day, with divisional opponents playing on back-to-back days, with each team hosting two games.

CUW will open the year against the South Division with home games scheduled against Rockford, Dominican and Aurora.

The Falcons open North Division play on April 10 at Marian and April 11 at home against the Sabres.

The Blue and White will then play Edgewood, MSOE and Lakeland.

CUW will then close the regular season against Wisconsin Lutheran.

The NACC Tournament will take place over two weekends.

On May 13, the divisions will break up into two pods. One pod has the first, fourth and six seeds. The second pod having the second, third and fifth seeds. The pod champion will be decided on May 14. On May 15, the two pod champions will play a best of three-game series, with the third game on May 16, if needed. The two divisional champions will play a three-game series on May 22 and 23.
