Carroll walks off with the season opener

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Pioneers used a walk off home run to spoil opening day for CUW on Monday afternoon. The Falcons start the year at 0-1 with a 4-3 loss.

The first run of the year was scored in the top of the first inning off a double from junior Kyle Kosobucki (De Pere, Wis.) that scored junior Sean Tillmon (Plainfield, Ill.) from second base.

The Falcons added to the lead in the fourth inning on a single off the bat of Drew Johnson to score Sean Tillman.

The Pioneers tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning and a triple in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs.

Sean Tillmon broke the tie with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning that was able to score senior Sam Zarling (West Bend, Wis.).

The Pioneers walked away with the victory with a two-run home run in the bottom half of the 10th inning.

The Falcons finished the game with seven hits, including two from junior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) and Sean Tillmon.

Sophomore Tyler Drezek (West Allis, Wis.) had six strikeouts in the start and did not allow a run in his first appearance of the season.  

The Falcons will host Carroll on Tuesday afternoon. Fans are not allowed inside Kapco Park for the home opener.
