MEQUON, Wis. – Spring is in the air and it is baseball season at Concordia.

The Falcons will open the 2021 season with a home-and-home series against the Carroll Pioneers. The Falcons will begin on the road Monday, March 8, and will play their home opener Tuesday, March 9, at 3 p.m. at Kapco Park. Fans will not be allowed at the home opener for the Falcons.

The Falcons boast a youthful roster with a combined 24 underclassmen coming by way 17 freshmen and eight sophomores. On the flip side, the Falcons bring back loads of experience and talent with 16 juniors and a handful of seniors, in Kenny Meloy (Gilbert, Ariz.), Bradlee Sumner (Ocala, Fla.), Drew Johnson (Menasha, Wis.), Blake Gosswein (Barrington, Ill.), Justin Martin (Germantown, Wis.), Sam Zarling (West Bend, Wis.) and Tyler Moilanen (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.).

Head Coach, Eddy Morgan, is back at the helm for his eighth season. Morgan had the Falcons jump out to a 3-2 record early in the 2020 season before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the season short unexpectedly. Back in 2018, Morgan eclipsed the 100-win mark while wearing blue and white. In 2017, Morgan led the Flock to a program record 28 wins. He has CUW posed for another breakout season.

For the 2021 season, Morgan and the Falcons will have a busy spring as they are scheduled to play a total of 37 regular season games. The Falcons open with an out of conference series against the Pioneers of Carroll and then heading to Chicago for a four-game road trip against Concordia Chicago and Illinois Tech. The blue and white will wrap up the 2021 season with two, four-game series against Lakeland and Wisconsin Lutheran in May.
