MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW baseball team inched closer to a title with an 8-0 victory over MSOE to advance to the NACC Tournament Finals. CUW improves to 25-15 on the season with the victory and one step closer to the first conference tournament title since 2004.

The Falcons would head into the second inning with a 3-0 lead over the Raiders.

In the bottom of the fourth, Beers would strike with a single up the middle, sending Haakenson and junior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) across home plate.

In the bottom of the sixth, Beers would single out to centerfield to send Haakenson across the plate for the third time of the game.

Concordia would head into the seventh inning with a 6-0 lead over MSOE.

Junior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) made his presence known as he would send out a two-run blast to send senior Sam Zarling (West Bend, Wis.) and himself home.

The Falcons would be crowned kings of the NACC North Division Tournament with an 8-0 shutout over the Red and Black.

Junior Ryan Green (Green Bay, Wis.) secured the victory for the Falcons on the mound with only four hits allowed in nine innings.

Green saw 34 batters, sending 73 strikes out of his 113 pitches.

The Falcons will compete for the NACC title in a best of three-game series beginning on Friday against the winner of the NACC South Tournament.
