Men's Basketball Collects NABC Academic Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its academic honors on Thursday afternoon. The NABC released its Honors Court and Team Academic Excellence Award.

The Falcons boasted a 3.47 grade-point average. The Blue and White are claiming the honor for the seventh-straight season.

This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2021-22 season.

The NABC also announced its Honors Court on Thursday. For the second-straight year, the Falcons finished with 10 selections, tying the program record.

Making their third-straight appearance on the NABC Honors Court are senior Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) and senior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.).

Senior Alex Armstrong (Waukesha, Wis.), senior Garrett Hoffmann (Belgium, Wis.), junior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.), junior Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) are all making their second appearance on the Honors Court.

Junior Grant Karsten (Decatur, Ill.), junior Hunter Auchtung (Thorp, Wis.), sophomore Matt LeVene (Manitowoc, Wis.) and sophomore Sam Meerstein (Green Bay, Wis.) are all making their first appearance.

The 10 selections lead the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
