St. Norbert Spoils 2021 Finale

DE PERE, Wis. – The Falcons closed the calendar on 2021 on Saturday with a hard-fought battle at ST. Norbert on Saturday afternoon. The Green Knights defended their home court with a 77-69 victory to send CUW to 5-6 and 4-2 in the NACC.

The Green Knights jumped out to an early 16-5 lead on Saturday. The Falcons continued to chip away at the deficit throughout the first half and tied the game at 35 with two seconds left before halftime with a pair of free throws from senior Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.).

The two teams exchanged the lead multiple times in the second half. The Green Knights secured the victory with an 11-2 run in the final four minutes of the game.

Jordan Johnson led all players with 28 points on Saturday.

Senior Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) added 12 points and led the flock with six rebounds.

Junior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) dished out a game-high five assists and finished with 10 points.

With Tuesday's game against Marian postponed, the Falcons will look to bounce back against Concordia Chicago on January 8.
