Falcons Fall in Exhibition Play at NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Falcons were tested on Sunday afternoon in an exhibition contest at Northern Michigan. In a game that counted for the NCAA Division II Wildcats, the home team came away with a 102-65 victory.

The Falcons had an early lead when senior Garrett Hoffmann (Belgium, Wis.) drained a three-point basket to start the game for the Blue and White.

A basket from junior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) gave the Falcons their final lead of the game with 15:52 left in the first half at 8-7.

The 'Cats took a 56-29 lead into halftime.

The Falcons scored 36 points in the second half.

CUW had 11 Falcons score on Sunday. Sophomore Freeman Jackson and junior Gabe Pruss (North Fond du Lac, Wis.) led the flock with 10 points.

Jared Jurss had a team-high five rebounds and assists.

The Sunday stats do not count for the Falcons.

CUW returns to NCAA Division III action on Saturday at Loras.
