Men’s Basketball Ranked in NCAA Regional Rankings

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's basketball team appeared in the regional rankings that were released by the NCAA.

The Falcons were one of nine teams ranked in Region VIII that comprises the CCIW, Heartland, NACC, SLIAC and western members of the UAA conference.

The Blue and White are 11-9 on the season and tied for first place in the NACC at 10-5.

The NCAA regional rankings play a key role in selections for the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Concordia Wisconsin last appeared in the NCAA Tournament during the 2019-20 season. There was no tournament held in the 2020-21 season.

CUW is joined in the rankings by Anderson (Ind.), Elmhurst (Ill.), Hanover (Ind.), Illinois Wesleyan, North Central (Ill.), Rose-Hulman (Ind.), Washington (Mo.) and Wheaton (Ill.).

Head Coach Shawn Cassidy scheduled a tough schedule and it has paid off as CUW has played three teams ranked in Region IX in Coe, Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Wisconsin-Platteville.

The Falcons return to play on Saturday at Edgewood.
