Two Claim All-NACC; Johnson Named Player of the Year

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its major awards and all-conference team for the 2021-2022 men's basketball season on Wednesday afternoon.

A senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Jordan Johnson was named the Most Valuable Player. This is Johnson's second major NACC men's basketball award. He was also named NACC Freshman of the Year following the 2017-2018 season.

The Wisconsin native led Concordia Wisconsin to a share of its second NACC men's basketball title in four seasons. He started all 25 games for the Falcons in 2021-2022, averaging 20.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor and 42.6 percent from behind the arc. Johnson was held to single-digit scoring on just one occasion this season while topping the 20-point plateau 17 times. His top game statistically came Feb. 5 against Benedictine when he scored 34 points on 13-of-21 shooting in an 81-77 victory. In that game, Johnson also surpassed 2,000 career points.

Overall, Johnson led all NACC players in free throw attempts (127), and ranked second in points (517), scoring average (20.7), made field goals (191) and made free throws (95), fourth in three-point field goal percentage, seventh in assists (74), and 13th in rebounding average.

Johnson wrapped his five-year career with a program record of 2,098 points - second only to Lakeland's Jake Schwarz (2,199; 2008-09, 2011-13) on the NACC's all-time scoring list.

He is also the second Falcon to be named NACC Player of the Year following Luke Doedens in 2012.

Johnson is earning his fifth-straight appearance on an All-NACC.

A senior from Plymouth, Wisconsin, Brandon Keller was named to the All-NACC Second Team.

Keller finished second in rebounds per game at 10.2, offensive rebounds with 88 and rebounds with 254.

He was also third in field goal percentage at 56.2 and with 166 defensive rebounds.

The Wisconsin native started in all 25 games for the Blue and White.

Keller finished the season with 12 double-double performances on the season.

This is the first time that Keller claimed All-NACC accolades.
