Gideon Cain Claims Final NACC Honor
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its final Student-Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday morning and Gideon Cain was voted the Men's Outdoor Field Student-Athlete of the week by the league's athletics communications professionals.
A senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Gideon Cain claimed the honor for the fifth time this season and the 10th time in his career.
Cain closed his career at Augustana where he finished in eighth place in the shot put competition at 15.47 meters and 26th in the discus throw at 41.03 meters.
Cain had the 32nd-best shot put mark in the country at 15.58 meters.
The Cedarburg native earned All-America honors in the indoor season in the shot put.
Matt Fleming of Benedictine was the NACC Track Student-Athlete of the Week.
