Concordia Men Take Sixth Place at NACC Championships

RIPON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's track & field team recorded a sixth-place finish at the 2022 NACC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. The Falcons finished the two-day competition with 59 points. St. Norbert edged MSOE by a half of a point at 146.5 points to claim the title.

Senior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) remained the gold standard at the NACC Championships with his second gold medal with a first-place mark of 15.97 meters in the shot put.

Sophomore Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) earned the silver medal in the 3000-meter run at 8:54.16. He had taken fourth place in the 5000-meter run on Friday.

The 60-meter hurdles saw sophomore Jacob Kelm (Cedarburg, Wis.) claim a fifth-place time of 8.94.

A fifth-place mark of 13.16 meters was reached by junior Konnor Kingsmore (Colorado Springs, Colo.) on Saturday in the triple jump.

The team of senior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.), senior Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.), junior Easton Becker (Ankeny, Iowa) and freshman Dominic Willadsen (Sheboygan, Wis.) secure a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay at 11:00.42.  

Freshman Jacob Couillard (Kingsford, Mich.) claimed a sixth-place finish in the heptathlon with 3520 points.  At the high jump, he placed 10th at 1.68 meters.

Easton Becker crossed the finish line at 2:00.29 in the 800-meter run to take eighth place.

Christian Prohl picked up a 10th-place finish in the 400-meter dash at 53.10.

Sophomore Robert Taylor (Miami, Fla.) led the Falcons with a 15th-place finish in the 200-meter dash at 24.11.

Sophomore Alex Tran (Wausau, Wis.) reached 5.19 meters in the long jump in 18th place.

Freshman Matthew DiMercurio (Florissant, Mo.) led the flock of Falcons in the mile run in 21st place at 5:12.30.

The Falcons will compete in some last chance meets.
