Cain Crushes His School Record at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Falcons competed again on Friday evening at the Carthage Firebird Finale. Four Falcons competed in six events on the evening.

Senior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) continued his dominance with a first-place in the shot put at 16.45 meters. He also placed fourth in the weight throw at 16.55 meters. His shot put mark breaks his own school record and vaults him into seventh place in NCAA Division III.

"I'm incredibly excited to be pushing my limits at this point in the season, "said Cain. "I'm going to ride this momentum into nationals."

Senior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) was the individual champion in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:02.96.

Senior Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.) placed second in the 400-meter dash at 52.63. He was also sixth in the 200-meter dash at 24.15.

Sophomore Joshua Peterson (Palatine, Ill.) crossed the finish line at 4:57.51 in the mile run in 12th place.

The Blue and White will compete at Ripon on Saturday.
