Men's Track and Field Take on Meet at WLC

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW men's track and field team competed in the WLC Warrior Invitational down the road in Milwaukee.

The Falcons finished in team eighth-place with 33 points. Wisconsin-Milwaukee finished first with a total of 114 points.

Senior Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.) got things off the ground in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.46 which gave him a 13th-place finish. Sophomore Robert Taylor (Miami, Fla.) wasn't far behind with a time of 12.10 which was good for 17th place.

Junior Paul Witto (Charleston, N.C.) finished 21st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.66 seconds. Sophomore Jack Ramstack (Colgate, Wis.) crossed the line next for the Falcons with a 31st-place finish at 24.12 seconds. Freshman Dalton Hribar (Oconomowoc, Wis.) finished in 40th-place with a time of 24.58 with fellow freshman Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) finishing in 45th place with a time of 24.79.

Junior Easton Becker (Ankeny, Iowa) took 10th place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.30 seconds. Hribar was not too far behind with a time of 55.06 which slotted him in 15th place. 

Prohl competed in the 800-meter run and finished in 24th place with a time of 2:10.39.  

Sophomore Joshua Peterson (Palatine, Ill.) was the first Falcon across the line in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:36.78 and a 39th-place finish.  

Sophomore Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) took home the gold in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:19.46. 

Van Den Heuvel claimed a 13th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.59.

Sophomore Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and finished in sixth place with a time of 11:34.93.  

Freshman Jacob Couillard (Kingsford, Mich.) competed in the high jump and cleared 1.70 meters which gave him a 10th-place finish.  

Sophomore Nate Bloxdorf (Hartford, Wis.) took home a ninth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.94 meters. Fellow sophomore Austin Thur (Bloomer, Wis.) cleared 5.84 meters and finished in 12th place. Junior Konnor Kingsmore (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished in 21st place with a jump of 5.38 meters. Couillard also competed in the long jump and finished in 24th place with a distance of 5.29 meters.  

Thur competed in the triple jump and finished with a distance of 11.80 meters which gave him a 15th-place finish.  

Senior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) took home the bronze medal in the shot put with a distance of 14.53 meters. Junior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) finished nine places later with a distance of 12.04 meters. Freshman Mitchell Moeller (Cedarburg, Wis.) also competed in the shot put and finished in 14th place with a throw of 11.79 meters. Junior Theodore Ryder (Denver, Colo.) finished in 27th-place with a distance of 9.24 meters.

Cain finished top-ten in the discus with a seventh-place finish with a throw of 43.22 meters. Moeller was a few meters behind him at 40.71 meters and a ninth-place finish. Day finished in 21st place with a throw of 34.86 meters with junior Isaac Zahrt (Kronenwetter, Wis.) coming in 29th with a distance of 31.09 meters. Ryder threw the disc 27.35 meters and finished in 37th place. Couillard took home a 41st-place finish with a throw of 23.75 meters.  

Cain brought in his third top-ten finish of the meet with another seventh-place finish in the hammer throw at 46.10 meters. Moeller finished in 19th place with a distance of 33.60 meters. Day finished in 34th place and Ryder finished in 41st place with distances of 28.60 meters and 21.49 meters respectively.  

Day took home the gold in the javelin throw with a throw of 48.47 meters. Zahrt finished in 11th place with a distance of 34.28 meters. 

Sophomore Colin Rerecich (Henderson, Nev.) finished 20th with a throw of 28.23 meters.  

The Falcons will head back to WLC on April 23 for the Green and White Invite.
