Cain Competes at Ripon Final Qualifier
RIPON, Wis. – The senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Gideon Cain competed in the Final Ripon Qualifier on Saturday for one last chance to improve his marks to attempt to qualify for the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
In the weight throw, he placed fourth at 16.73 meters.
He also finished in third place in the shot put at 15.46 meters.
Heading into the day, Cain holds the seventh-best mark in the nation at 16.45. He set the mark with the school-record performance on Friday night at Carthage.
The NCAA Declaration List will be announced on Sunday night.
