Cain Adds Another NACC Weekly Honor

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly honors on Tuesday morning and Gideon Cain was once again voted as the NACC Athlete of the Week for men's indoor track & field by the conference sports information departments.

A senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Gideon Cain is claiming the honor for the seventh time in his career and for the second time this season.

On Friday, he shattered his school record at Carthage in the shot put at 16.45 meters. That mark qualified him for a spot in the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

He also placed fourth in the weight throw at 16.55 meters at the Firebird Finale.

Cain will compete on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
