Gideon Cain Claims Male Athlete of the Year Award

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Athletics Department has announced Gideon Cain of the men's track & field program as the 2021-22 Male Athlete of the Year Award recipient.

A senior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, claimed All-American honors in the indoor track & field season. Cain collected the All-American honors in the shot put competition with an eighth-place finish at 15.48 meters.

Cain is no stranger to success at Concordia as he holds the indoor record for shot put at 16.45 meters. He also holds the outdoor record for shot put at 15.75 and hammer throw at 51.30 meters.

This week, we will continue the 2021-22 CUW Athletics Awards on Tuesday.
