Cain Wins Gold at NACC Indoor Championships

RIPON, Wis. – The Falcons took was individual crown during the first day of the NACC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Falcons are in fifth place with 22 points. MSOE leads with 48 points.

Senior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) added to his medal collection with a first-place and career-best mark of 17.22 meters in the weight throw.

Sophomore Time Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished fourth in the 5000-meter run at 15:29.42.

The distance medley relay team of senior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.), senior Christian Prohl (Downers Grove, Ill.), junior Easton Becker (Ankeny, Iowa) and freshman Dominic Willadsen (Sheboygan, Wis.) finished in fifth place at 11:00.42.

Freshman Jacob Couillard (Kingsford, Mich.) is sixth in the heptathlon with 2154 points.

Freshman Nate Waech (West Bend, Wis.) ended in eighth place in the pole vault at 3.98 meters.  

Sophomore Jacob Kelm (Cedarburg, Wis.) qualified for the 60-meter hurdles final in fifth place at 8.84.

Sophomore Robert Taylor (Miami, Fla.) was the fastest Falcon in the 60-meter dash in 13th place at 7.35.

CUW wraps up the competition on Saturday at Ripon.
