CUW Men Compete at La Crosse and North Central

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team competed at the North Central Carius/Gregory Invitational and the Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagle Open on Friday afternoon.

Junior Isaac Zahrt (Kronenwetter, Wis.) posted a person-best mark in the javelin competition in fifth place at 43.71 meters.

In the 110-meter hurdles, sophomore Jacob Kelm (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished fifth at 15.52 and freshman Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) was seventh at 15.94 with a career-best time.

In the 400-meter dash race, senior Christian Prohl (Downers, Grove, Ill.) placed 10th at 50.98 and junior Easton Becker (Ankeny, Iowa) 18th at 52.57. Prohl also led the flock in the 200-meter dash in 21st place at 23.18 and Becker was 31st at 23.80. Both of the times for Becker were career-best times.

Senior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) ran a career-best time of 1:59.47 in the 800-meter run to place 30th.

At La Crosse, senior Gideon Cain finished fifth in a loaded shot put field at 15.53 meters.

Freshman Mitchell Moeller (Cedarburg, Wis.) was ninth in the discus throw at 44.20 meters.

The Falcons will try to improve their marks next week.
