Cain Receives First NACC Honor of Outdoor Season

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly honors on Wednesday morning and Gideon Cain was voted as the NACC Athlete of the Week for men's outdoor field by the conference sports information departments.

A senior from Cedarburg, Gideon Cain is claiming the honor for the eighth time in his career and for the third time this season.

On Sunday, Cain shattered the school record by three meters with a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.57 meters at Whitewater.

He also picked up the bronze medal in the discus throw at 45.11 meters and was the individual champion in the shot put where he won at 15.29 meters.
