Women's Basketball was dominating in the middle of the season

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Women's Basketball program had another successful season, reaching the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament for the 14th-consecutive season. The Falcons ended the season with a 14-12 overall record and a 13-7 record in conference play.

After a 1-5 start to begin the season, they responded by winning 13 of the next 17 games. During the month of January, they compiled an 8-2 record and outscored NACC foes by an average of 26 points. The Falcons topped 80 points seven times during the season and scored program-record 102 points on Feburay 1 during a 102-39 victory at Rockford. Defensively, they limited the opposition to fewer than 50 points in nine games and were 8-1 in those contests.

In a single game, the Falcons set the record for points (102), 3-pointers made (16) and assists (30) all in the record-setting performance at Rockford.

Concordia Wisconsin produced the fifth-best scoring offensive for a season in program history, averaging 67.2 points per game. They also drained the third-most 3-pointers (171) and hauled in the fourth-most rebounds per game (41.5).

Junior Emily Hafemann (Hales Corners, Wis.) led the Falcons with a 13.2 points per game average and scored over 20 points four times. Junior Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) netted a career-best 28 points, which was also the third-most in a game in program history, at Dominican (February 9) to close out the season. She also made five 3-pointers in a game three different times. Hafemann was named All-NACC First Team and Chambers to the All-NACC Second Team.

Of the many highlights during the season, one for the Falcons was there trip to Hawaii in which they defeated Spalding 73-62 and got to tour the island and Pearl Harbor National Memorial.

Off the court, Emily Hafemann was named CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team for her efforts in the classroom. She has a 4.0 grade point average as a Nursing major.
