HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had flirted with 100 points on several occasions over the past two seasons and finally set the program record for points in a game on Saturday. To get there they drained a program-record 16 3-pointers (six in the first quarter) and were highly efficient with a program-record 30 assists (five players with at least four assists).
- It didn't take long for the Falcons to own control of the women's basketball contest, leading by double-figures (14-3) less than five minutes into the game. They pushed their advantage to 20 points 30 seconds into the second quarter and led 48-20 at the intermission.
- The third quarter is when Concordia Wisconsin's offense was nearly perfect, shooting 13-of-18 for an astounding 72.2 percent from the field. The second saw 54 points put on the scoreboard, mainly by the reserves who played extended minutes and accounted for 44 of the total points, six long balls and 11 assists.
- Juniors Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) and Emily Hafemann (Hales Corners, Wis.) each had a game-high 15 points, with Chambers drilling four 3-pointers. Freshman Lindsey Glaeser (Valders, Wis.) scored 13 points and hauled down five rebounds, while sophomore Aubrey Buchholtz (Seymour, Wis.) ended with 12 points and five rebounds. Senior Kaitlyn Foster (Janesville, Wis.) and freshman Lindsey Smitsdorff (Coon Rapids, Minn.) scored 11 points and combined for eight assists. Smitsdorff also rejected a trio of shot attempts.
- Junior Hannah Boettcher (Columbus, Wis.) scored six points and dished out four assists. Freshman Reagan Obry (Neenah, Wis.) tallied eight points, five rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Taylor Guns (Greenleaf, Wis.) recorded seven points and six rebounds. Freshman Brianna Freund (Fond du Lac, Wis.) posted four points, four rebounds and two steals.
- Rockford was led by Emily Cox who had 14 points.
