Women's Basketball picked third in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin was chosen to finish third in the NACC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons concluded the 2018-19 season with a 19-9 overall record and finished second in the NACC standings with a 15-5 record. They also advance to NACC Tournament Championship game a year ago for the third consecutive year.

Wisconsin Lutheran tallied 312 points and 15 first-place votes to lead the 13-team poll. Benedictine was second with nine first-place votes and 299 points, while Concordia Wisconsin received a first-place vote and 278 points to place second and third, respectively.

Lakeland was fourth with 238 points, Dominican was fifth with 210 points and Edgewood with 205 points. Aurora (192), Concordia Chicago (147), MSOE (137), Marian (87), Alverno (83), Rockford (57) and Illinois Tech (30) round out the poll.

The NACC's regular-season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
