Rivalry continues inside the Buuck

MEQUON, Wis. -- It was about as even a matchup as a fan could have asked for and it came down to the last possession between Wisconsin Lutheran and Concordia Wisconsin. The Warriors made a late free throw with 2.7 seconds to play and walked away with a 64-60 victory over the Falcons inside the R. John Buuck Field House on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin made back-to-back 3-pointers and followed those with a pair of free throws to take a 57-53 lead with six minutes to play in the game. Wisconsin Lutheran would slowly chip away its deficit with an 11-3 scoring run before the final horn. The Warriors forced the Falcons into six turnovers down the stretch, while Morgan Tramburg and Jenna Mace combined to score 10 of their final points.
- The hosts led for 18:20 compared to the visitors 14:59, while there were 12 lead changes and six scoring ties. The largest lead of the game was seven points by the Falcons with five minutes to play before halftime. They also made 20-of-24 free throws.
- Juniors Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) and Emily Hafemann (Hales Corners, Wis.) each had a team-high 15 points, with Chambers knocking down four triples and grabbing seven rebounds. Hafemann drew eight fouls in the game. Sophomore Camryn Szolyga (Waukesha, Wis.) tallied 14 points.
- Wisconsin Lutheran was led by Amanda Brug and Tierney Woodward who each had a game-high 16 points. Jenna Mace ended with five points, seven rebounds, four assists and fours teals.
- The Falcons held a slight 16-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
