3-pointers fall for Falcons in victory

Honolulu, Hawaii -- Concordia Wisconsin had six players drain a 3-pointer during a 73-62 victory on Wednesday over Spalding during the Hoop N Surf Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin drained a season-high 10 3-pointers and made four of those in the second quarter. Senior Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) and junior Hannah Boettcher (Columbus, Wis.) each swished three from long range to help the Falcons shoot 47.5 percent from deep.
- They also dominated the glass, hauling in 50 rebounds with 14 of those on the offensive end. They turned their second chance opportunities into 13 points. In addition, they held a game-high 17 point lead with three minutes to play in the third quarter.
- Balanced scoring shined, as four players ended in double-figures and nine players scored in total. Chambers led Concordia Wisconsin with 15 points, to go along with five rebounds and five assists. Junior Emily Hafemann (Hales Corner, Wis.) added 14 points, while senior Kaitlyn Foster (Janesville, Wis.) and sophomore Camryn Szolyga (Waukesha, Wis.) each had 10 points.
- Freshman Lindsey Smitsdorff (Coon Rapids, Minn.) recorded five points, six rebounds, two assists and a block in 15 minutes of action. Freshman Camryn Kratt (Cudahy, Wis.) pulled down seven rebounds as well.
- Spalding was led by Hunter Write who had a game-high 19 points.

- Concordia Wisconsin will compete against No. 19 UW-Whitewater in its second and final game at the Hoop N Surf Tournament on Thursday.
