Men’s Basketball hosts Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday

MEQUON, Wis. -- After three crucial Northern Athletics Conference road games last week against teams in first place, the Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball team will host Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday night inside the friendly confines of the R. John Buuck Field House at 7 p.m.

Wednesday night's contest will be the second meeting between the two NAC North Divsion foes. The Falcons cruised in the last meeting, Nov. 29, behind senior Mitchell Schneider's (New Holstein, Wis.) career-high 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including five 3-pointers. CUW also shot 62.5 percent in the road victory.

CUW (12-4, 8-2 NAC) has been led by seniors Luke Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Schneider who have averaging 17.7 and 14.5 points per game, respectively. The Falcons trail rival Edgewood College by a half game in the NAC North Division standings.

WLC (3-14, 2-7 NAC) snapped a five-game skid with a 65-57 win at Dominican University last Saturday. The Warriors made 5-of-6 free throws in the final 32 seconds to preserve the win.

Alex Merbach leads WLC with in scoring at 17.1 per game, while Nate Bauer is averaging 10.0 per contest.
