Men's Basketball travels to Benedictine Saturday

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball head coach Shawn Cassidy and his 5-1 Falcons travel to Lisle, Ill., on Saturday for a Northern Atheltics Conference matchup with Benedictine University.

The host Eagles (2-2 overall, 1-0 NAC) are paced by diminutive guard Nate Green who averages 22.7 per outing, while shooting 44 percent from the floor.

BenU has interchanged a dozen players around Green, but none average more than eight points a game. The Eagles roster does not include a traditional center so they have relied on defense to date and upset MSOE, 54-51, in their NAC opener.

CUW has been an offensive juggernaut to date. The Falcons are averaging over 80 points per game while shooting better than 53 percent from the field and an amazing 47% from 3 point range.

Seniors Luke Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Mitchell Schneider (New Holstein, Wis.) are averaging 19.5 and 17.3 points per game respecitvely. Cassidy has rotated a dozen players who can each put the ball in the basket.

Game time is set for 4:15pm.
