Doedens earns NAC weekly honor, CUW Player of the Week
WAUKESHA, Wis. - Senior Luke
Doedens earned the first Northern Athletics Conference men's
basketball Player of the Week honor for the 2011-12 season, the
league office announced Monday night.
Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) helped
the Falcons to a 2-1 record this past week, all against UW schools.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard averaged 18.3 point per game on 63.3
percent shooting from the field. He also knocked down 9-of-14
3-pointers (64.3 percent) to go along with 3.7 rebounds and 2.3
steals per contest.
Doedens has drained three
3-pointers each game this season and scored 13 and 24 points,
respectively, in victories over UW-La Crosse and
UW-Platteville.
He was also named CUW Player of
the Week, sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
