Men’s Basketball concludes difficult three-game road swing Saturday
MEQUON, Wis.
- Concordia University Wisconsin's men's basketball team
will conclude their most difficult road trip of the season on
Saturday at 4:15 p.m. when they travel to Rockford College. The
Rockford clash will conclude a three game road set where the
Falcons faced a team that spent time atop the NAC divisional
standings recently; all in one five day period.

CUW (11-4, 7-2) opened the week with a thrilling 70-69
victory at Lakeland College on Tuesday after senior Luke Doedens
(Cedarburg, Wis.) made a pair of free throws with 2.0 seconds
remaining in the game. The Falcons then traveled to Edgewood
College on Thursday night hoping to knock off their second straight
opponent who was in first place in the North Division, but fell
83-69.
Doedens leads CUW with a 17.0 points per game average
and currently ranks second in the nation in 3-point shooting
percentage (51.1). Seniors Mitchell Schneider (New Holstein, Wis.)
is also scoring in double-figures (15.1 per game) and Matt
Paluchniak (Oostburg, Wis.) has directed the offense to the tune of
69 assists compared to 28 turnovers.
RC (9-8, 6-3 NAC) has put together back-to-back
victories, including a 73-72 win at Concordia University Chicago on
Thursday. The Regents held off a late Cougars charge and were led
by Paul Hall and Dominique Walker who scored 24 and 22 points,
respectively.
RC ranks second in the conference with a 5.4 rebound
margin per game. Tory Minnifield paces the Regents with a 15.7
points per game average and Danny Fair is grabbing 7.9 rebounds per
contest.
