Men’s Basketball selected to win NAC North Division

MEQUON, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball team enters the season as the North Division's top-ranked team in the Northern Athletics Conference preseason poll, the league office announced Thursday.

CUW is coming off a perfect conference record, 16-0, in the regular season last year, and will try to improve upon an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Key returners for the Falcons include senior forward Luke Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) and senior guard Mitchell Schneider (New Holstein, Wis.), both of whom finished last season as second-team all-conference performers.

The South Division opens with Aurora University as the team to beat, with the Spartans receiving eight first-place votes the most out of all 12 teams.

Edgewood College ranks second in the North Division, receiving five first-place votes to CUW's seven.

The Falcons open the season on November 15 at UW-La Crosse at 7 p.m.
