Men’s Basketball begins three-game week at Wisconsin Lutheran
MEQUON, Wis. - Coming off a record setting
performance in its last game, the Concordia University Wisconsin
men's basketball program looks to continue its hot shooting on
Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran College in a Northern
Athletics Conference contest in Milwaukee, Wis.

The Falcons (3-1, 1-0 NAC) drained a record-tying 17 3-pointers during an 89-63 NAC victory over Concordia University Chicago in their home opener on Saturday. Senior Luke Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) finished with a game-high 26 points and an impressive 7-for-9 from behind the arc. Seniors Mitchell Schneider (New Holstein, Wis.) and Zach Neumann (Germantown, Wis.) also made four 3-pointers apiece. In the win, CUW shot 52.4 percent from the floor.
Doedens leads the team with a 20.2 points per game average, which ranks third in the NAC. He is shooting 65.1 percent from the floor and an eye-popping 69.6 percent (16-of-23) from behind the 3-point line. Schneider is also averaging double-figures, 16.2 per game, and is shooting 46.0 percent from the field and 45.8 percent from deep. Senior Matt Paluchniak (Oostburg, Wis.) leads the Falcons with 14 assists.
WLC (1-4, 0-0 NAC) opens conference play on Tuesday after facing three UW schools over the past week. The Warriors have dropped four games in a row after defeating Silver Lake College, 81-55, in their season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Alex Merbach leads three players in double-figures with an 18.4 points per game average, which also ranks fifth among all NAC players. He is also averaging 50.0 percent from the field and 6.0 rebounds per game. Nate Bauer and Tim Demuth are each scoring 10.4 points per game, respectively.
CUW returns home on Thursday for the second game of the week against Silver Lake College at 7 p.m. inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
