Malcolmson Named Player of the Year
TROY, Mich. – The ACHA (American Colligate Hockey Association) named their Division II National Player of the Year on Monday afternoon.
The ACHA DII Player of the Year title went to Falcons forward Ian Malcolmson a junior out of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Malcolmson was not only the Central Player of the year but an All-Region First-Team selection and a National All-Athletic First Team.
Malcolmson averaged 2.11 points a game, finishing the year with 76 points (22 G, 54 A). He finished the season ranked third nationally in points, and led all Men's Division II in assists.
The Blue and White start their ACHA Division II National breadth with a Pool B matchup against Florida Gulf Coast on Friday.
