ACHA Hockey Hushes the Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The CUW ACHA hockey team hushed the Hoosiers for its first win of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons posted a 7-1 victory to improve to 1-1 on the young season.

Senior Alex Way (Ottawa, Ont.) started the scoring on Saturday in the first period off a pass from sophomore Tommy Cassel (Grafton, Wis.).

A minute later, junior John Swiatek lit the lamp off assists from senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) and senior Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.).

Way struck again in the second period off an assist from senior Lucas Kreuser (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.). Seconds later, senior Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) scored off an assist from Ian Malcolmson.

Tommy Cassel closed the second period scoring with assists from senior Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) and senior Thomas Dyball (Papillion, Neb.).

The Falcons continued to pile on in the third period.

Sam Weiss scored his first goal as a Falcon with Kreuser and Dyball adding assists.

Lucas Kreuser closed the scoring with Dyball adding his third assist of the day.

Senior Mack Willy (Tacoma, Wash.) earned the victory in the net.

The Falcons travel to Lindenwood on Friday.
