ACHA Hockey Downs DePaul in Regular Season Finale

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Concordia Wisconsin ACHA men's hockey team ended the 2024-25 regular season on a high note with an 8-1 victory over DePaul on Sunday. The Falcons finish the regular season with a 22-11-0 record.

The Falcons struck first on Sunday with a pair of goals from senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) that were assisted by sophomore Chuck Emme (Glenview, Ill.) and junior Dominic Murano (Milwaukee, Wis.).

Senior Andrew Malek (Milwaukee, Wis.) found the back of the net on the power play with Emme and Murano earning their third assists of the game in the first period.

Garrett Wilderman struck again for the lone goal of the second period off assists from senior Rex Staudacher (Yorkville, Ill.) and Dominican Murano.

A power-play goal for Chuck Emme started the third-period scoring off the fifth assist for Dominic Murano and a secondary assist to Rex Staudacher.

A minute later, DePaul scored its lone goal of the day.

Dominic Murano added to his amazing day with a goal off an assist from Chuck Emme.

Senior Brandon Ballweg (Woodbridge, Va.) joined the scoring spree off assists from freshman Mason Musel (Duluth, Minn.) and freshman Rocco Cicirello (Mequon, Wis.).

Dominic Murano had his seventh point of the day with a power-play goal in the final minute off assists from Chuck Emme and Rex Staudacher.

Junior Austin Bartell (New Berlin, Wis.) collected 22 saves in the victory.

These two teams will meet again on Friday in the Northern Collegiate Hockey League Hap Cup Quarterfinals.
