Two Falcons Earn AVCA All-Region Honors
MEQUON, Wis. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its all-region selections and honors on Thursday afternoon. The CUW women's volleyball team landed two selections with Maycee Karpfinger and Madelyn Alton.
A sophomore from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Maycee Karpfinger is making her first appearance on the All-Region 8 Team. Last week, she was named the NACC Offensive Player of the Year and made an appearance on the All-NACC First Team. Karpfinger finished the season with 268 kills, averaging 2.73 kills per set. She hit .350 on the season and recorded 100 blocks and 122 digs.
A senior from Farwell, Minnesota, Madelyn Alton is appearing on the AVCA All-Region 8 Honorable Mention for the first time in her career. Alton was the queen of the back row for CUW in 2021 with 477 digs and 19 service aces.
